Kathleen R. Berard has always been in the service of others, a strong partner to, and advocate for, her clients. She is a 2013 graduate of The New England School of Law where she served as Lead Articles Editor for the Journal on Civil and Criminal Confinement; she also was a Student Editor to the Massachusetts Guide to Evidence, 2012 where she collaborated with some of the greatest trial attorneys in Massachusetts. While at NESL Kate interned with The Massachusetts Appeals Court Clerk’s Office, as well as with The Honorable Geraldine Hines, (ret.) at Suffolk Superior Court. Both opportunities gave her valuable insight into polished and effective courtroom advocacy. Prior to law school she earned two degrees from Rutgers University, in 2009 she earned a Master of Education in Social Studies, and in 2012 she received a graduate degree in Education Law and Public Policy.
Attorney Berard concentrates her practice in the areas of civil litigation, personal injury and workers compensation. She is licensed to practice in Massachusetts and a current member of the Massachusetts Bar Association. She combines her education and experience to be an effective communicator, knowledgeable advocate and dedicated team member at Percy Law Group, P.C. Kate is accountable and accessible and hopes to empower her clients with honest analysis and strong advocacy.
Attorney Berard lives in the East Bay Area of Rhode Island with her husband Geoff, their son, Peter; daughter, Vivienne; and dog, Benny.
