Fatal car crash caused by driver who allegedly ran stop sign

When it comes to automobile accidents, victims' lives and the lives of any others that are somehow involved can be turned upside down in an instant. This is true whether there is a fatality, broken bones or on-going medical treatment. Sadly, serious car accidents occur frequently here in Massachusetts. In many cases, including this particular case, the car crash could have been prevented if the driver had paid more attention to his or her surroundings and opted to obey traffic laws.

An accident has recently claimed the life of two individuals and left two other people with serious injuries. According to reports, a person ran a stop sign early one Friday morning. When the driver did this, his or her vehicle struck another vehicle. There were five individuals in that vehicle.

The alleged at-fault driver sustained only minor injuries. A passenger in the second vehicle also sustained minor injuries. However, two of them in the second vehicle were listed to be in critical condition at a local hospital. The other two from the second vehicle are deceased.

The accident is currently being investigated by authorities. At this time, there have been no formal charges filed. However, the officer in charge says that charges could be filed. Right now, there is no evidence that would suggest alcohol was a factor in the accident.

No matter how responsible one person may be behind the wheel, it doesn't mean that he or she will not be involved in a car accident due to the reckless actions of another driver. When this occurs, though, victims of a car crash may be able to take legal action against the at-fault driver. An experienced Massachusetts lawyer can be helpful when navigating the legal system and can examine the details of the accident closely in order to build the strongest possible case.
