Woman killed in Massachusetts automobile accident

A three-vehicle accident has resulted in the death of one woman and sent three others to the hospital. According to Massachusetts police, the automobile accident occurred in the early afternoon on I-291 west near the access ramp to Interstate 91 southbound. The impact of the collision resulted in the death of a 34-year-old Massachusetts woman.

Meanwhile, the 41-year-old driver of the vehicle that the woman was riding in was transported to a local hospital for non-life threatening injuries. There were also two minors in the vehicle. They were both transported to the hospital to be evaluated by medical personnel as a safety measure.

The other vehicles have not been identified at this time. It is unclear whether anyone else suffered any injuries or whether criminal charges will be filed. Police have stated that they are continuing to work on the investigation, which will include an accident reconstruction.

Once the police have completed their investigation, there is likely to be more information as to what actually caused this Massachusetts automobile accident. Although it is as yet unclear who was at fault, the deceased woman's family may be able to use the police officer's investigation to assist them in determining if a wrongful death lawsuit is a viable legal option. Although doing so will not undo what has already taken place, the grieving family may be able to obtain restitution for monetary damages suffered due to the negligent acts of others.
